Dr. Asim Farid

Dr. Asim Farid is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon based in Rochester, New York. He graduated from Dow Medical College in 1984 and completed his surgical training in the United Kingdom, earning Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. After relocating to the United States in 1991, Dr. Farid completed residency training at the Guthrie Clinic in Pennsylvania, served as Chief of Surgery in Kentucky, and later pursued fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery, with particular expertise in colorectal cancer and advanced hemorrhoidal procedures. Dr. Farid is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
